Cambodia is a country located in the southern portion of the Indochina Peninsula in Southeast Asia. It is bordered by Thailand to the northwest, Laos to the northeast, Vietnam to the east, and the Gulf of Thailand to the southwest. In 2002, Good Neighbors launched a community development project in the province of Banteay Meanchey, and is currently running four projects in the area. The local people in Banteay Meanchey live near the border of Thailand, are very poor, and most work illegally in the country because of the scarcity of jobs in their community.

Residents also have little access to clean water and few educational programs for children. Good Neighbors’ comprehensive development projects focus on health and sanitation, improving the local environment, supporting school meal programs, health care services, and income generation. With these projects, Good Neighbors strives to give local people a better standard of living, especially for children.
